Amber Bloomer

Founder and Managing Director

Amber Bloomer is an international development professional and the Managing Director of GrantAccess. She has over ten years of experience in project/program design, program implementation, development, and management of donor relationships and fundraising strategies for non-profit organizations, SMEs, and social enterprises operating in resource-constrained environments. Throughout her career, she has contributed to policy initiatives on clean energy in the developing and humanitarian context in several countries, including India, Kazakhstan, and Uganda, driving forward sustainable development solutions for people living in poverty. She founded GrantAccess in 2019. Linkedin

Juliana Saracino

Grant Writer

Julie Sarancio joined GrantAccess in 2021 as a consultant, after being inspired by a period of time working with Amber Bloomer on grant writing in Rwanda almost 10 years before. Julie is a global health professional with several years' experience developing project proposals and implementing programs for small international non-profit organizations. She studied global health and environment at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and holds a MSc in International Health Systems with a certificate in Health Financing and Management from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Most recently, she worked at a D.C based company in health financing, policy and governance for national health programs, specifically relating to family planning and HIV. She is passionate about elevating community voices to spark structural change for pressing social, health and environmental issues. Linkedin

Kaleigh Post

Analyst

Kaleigh is a researcher, accelerator, and connector in the social and climate impact space. At GrantAccess, she analyses the funding ecosystems and matches clients with non-dilutive funding opportunities. Our vast planet inspires her, with its symbiotic cultures and ecosystems. She is drawn to working with people who create new ideas, especially in this space, to ensure that our planet can remain Planet A, a place where all living things can thrive. She obtained her MPH from Columbia University where she studied the forces that shape global inequity. While there, she was also a Tamer Social Enterprise Fellow at the Columbia University Business School and learned from seasoned start-up founders in the impact space. In her undergraduate career, she obtained a B.A. from Lawrence University in Anthropology and Pre-Medical Sciences. Linkedin

Michaelanne Butler

Analyst

Michaelanne Butler is a PhD student at the University of California Santa Cruz in Sociology. Holding both an MBA and MSc in Human Geography from Oxford University, her interests range from entrepreneurship and innovation to critical food studies, and the political-ecological connections between the global North and South. Her most recent project, ’Biome Flavour,’ explored the more-than-food dynamics of Nigeria’s wild meat sector. Linkedin

Ja Apimanee Bulsombut

Analyst

Ja Bulsombut is currently working on her Ph.D in Sociology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Ja works with GrantAccess as a Fundraising Officer. She has a background in the art non-profit sector through previously working for two years as a youth program coordinator for the W.O.W Project, a New York Chinatown based arts and activism organization. Isabel Fear

Fundraising Assistant

Isabel Fear is an MSc student at the University of Geneva in Sustainability and Social Change. She holds a BSc in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response with French from the University of Manchester. Isabel supports GrantAccess as a Fundraising Assistant with marketing and administration. Her interests include women’s issues and the long-term sustainability of non-profit organizations. Linkedin

Pete Brunt

Interim Operations

As interim operations head, Pete Brunt is responsible for helping form GrantAccess's business strategy and overseeing operations and finance functions. He holds a BSc in Management from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate and the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Pete has spent most of the last 20 years working in fund management research in London, UK. He has a passion for Africa, having spent two years working as Vice President for iROKO Partners, an online media company based in Nigeria and Rwanda in 2014/15. He also travels to the continent every year to visit a primary school that he supports. His passion for Africa and helping those less fortunate led him to GrantAccess, where he is committed to help the company achieve its mission statement. Linkedin
